Description: The original plan was a hike on Mt. Tam. Predicted temperatures for that day are in the mid to upper 80s. Mt. San Bruno temperatures will likely be in the mid to upper 60s. Not only that, but it's a really beautiful park and the club hasn't hiked there in some time.
We'll start from the main (northern) parking area, crossing under the road and taking the Summit Loop Trail. We'll take that trail until we're just below the summit. We start our partial descent on the Dairy Ravine Trail, then the Eucalyptus Trail back to the parking area where we begin a 2nd shorter loop that includes the beautiful Bog Trail. Views are pretty spectacular throughout, and, due to the fog there are always a few wildflowers in bloom even in the driest times of the year.
Dogs are unfortunately not welcome in State Parks.
Bring/Wear: Plenty of water, good hiking shoes, lunch, snacks and poles if you use them. AND chocolate!
Rain Policy: Contact hikeleader if weather is questionable.
Trailhead Meeting Place: Trailhead Meeting Place: We'll meet at the main parking lot (555 Guadalupe Canyon Pkwy, Brisbane)
