Description: This should be peak wildflower season in Placer County.  I started reading up on the area recently and besides having a huge selection of wonderful hikes, we'll be right next to the American River, not to speak of wonderful old Gold Rush towns like Grass Valley and Nevada City.  It's only ~ 2.5 hours from the Bay Area so we'll have plenty of time on the first day to wander around and/or go on a short hike.
Dogs are allowed, but possibly only small ones.  Check with the hotel about size of dog allowed and nightly deposit.

We'll be staying at the
Red Lion Inn & Suites, Auburn. To make a reservation tell them you’re with the San Francisco Hiking Club.

The rooms are $333.72 total for 3 nights in a King bedroom.
The rooms are $378.00 total for 3 nights in a Double room.
There is no charge to cancel your reservation if it's a week or more before the check-in date.
I imagine you can book one of the rooms for 2 nights or 4 nights and get the same nightly rate.
I forgot to ask about whether dogs are allowed.
Breakfast of sorts is included.

TO BOOK A ROOM, CALL 530-885-1800
Mention the San Francisco Hiking Club block.

IF YOU'D LIKE TO GO, PLEASE REGISTER ON OUR SITE FIRST, THEN CALL TO RESERVE YOUR ROOM.

Bring/Wear: Sturdy hiking shoes, sunscreen, clothing changes and any snacks or food you wouldn't expect to find in a resort town.  There are plenty of restaurant options.  Bring your water containers to refill.

Rain Policy: Event will take place rain or shine
