Description: We will be starting at the Willis Evans Trailhead, hike up to the San Geronimo Ridge Fire Road with views across the MMWD watershed and descend on the Boulder Springs, Caterpillar, and various other trails to Forest Knolls for lunch. After lunch will cross Sir Francis Drake hike the Thorner Memorial and Roy's Redwood Loop Trails and cross Sir Francis Drake Boulevard back to our cars.
Bring / Wear: Bring water, lunch, a hat or sunscreen for the exposed parts of the hike, hiking poles if you use them, sturdy hiking shoes and your dog if you have one. The Open Space District allows dogs off leash under voice control on fire roads and requires a 6 ft. fixed lead on trails and city streets. You are of course expected to clean up after your dog.

Trailhead Meeting Place: (Carpooling highly recommended due to extremely limited parking.) From the East Bay take 580 through San Rafael to San Anselmo and continue onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd to Woodacre. After passing through Fairfax you'll eventually climb White's Hill. After arriving at the western side/base of the hill stay on Sir Francis Drake until Railroad Ave. Turn left. Shortly turn right onto San Geronimo Valley Road. You’ll pass Redwood Road, but stay on San Geronimo Valley Road. Park on San Geronimo Valley Road when you reach the intersection with Redwood Canyon Drive. We’ll meet near the intersection and once the group has assembled, we will be walking to the trailhead. Google Maps Link
