SF Meeting Location: Whole Foods @ 2001 Market Street. Meet on the Dolores Street side. (There's parking on the street or below the building).

SF Departure Time: Shortly after 9:30 AM
East Bay Alternate: Rockridge BART meeting/departure time will be 9:40 AM (later than Whole Foods)...and we'll meet at the bottom of the escalators.

Description: This nice, easy urban hike starts at the Point Isabel dog park (next to Costco), one of the best doggie parks around offering brilliant, postcard views of San Francisco and the Bay...a great place to take friends and family visiting the area (whether they have a dog or not). We'll continue to walk along the water, past some marsh areas, and pastel-colored, "New Englandy" homes until we reach the Richmond marina. Once there, we'll enjoy lunch sitting on some steps by the water...next to the old Ford manufacturing plant where the Rosie the Riveter National Historic Park now resides...watching seagulls and boats glide in and out of the harbor. After finishing lunch, we'll loop back and return to Point Isabel (where those with a Costco membership can end their hike stocking up on toilet paper bought in bulk).
Bring / Wear: Bring water, good hiking or walking shoes (the whole trail is paved), hat, sunscreen and lunch.
Rain Policy: Hike will take place rain or shine.
Dogs: Woof! Dogs are allowed.
Trailhead Meeting Location: We will meet at the Point Isabel Dog Park parking lot (...more parking can be had along the perimeter of Costco). Look for Mudpuppy's and/or the Sit & Stay Cafe...and just head West towards the water to find the group. Google Maps link
